To be fair, League is using common tropes in fantasy/steampunk/myth. So did DotA the original, partially because that was how Blizzrd created their game, utilizing myths and twisting them a little. Use a little less condescension from behind a keyboard and screen.
okay, well look at ashe and the drow on dota2 (btw that drow was on dota 1 also, WAY before league) there is no mistake they are copying them. To be fair, you don't need to offend them. They know they are copying dota.
You aren't listening to what i said, DotA1 only used character models that were available in Warcraft3, many of which were fantasy tropes based on myths and stories because that's how Blizzard designed their game. I never said League isn't copying DotA, i said they're using the same method Blizzard did, which looks like a carbon copy anyways. how you're putting it is like saying that the younger brother copied the olders looks when they both actually got them from their dad.
*i meant defend Well that's okay-you aren't really listening to what I am saying either.
Sure you can take a myth and legend and add it to your game, but you can make it unique too. People have different views of creatures they read and hear about naturally-so they should use that instead of so easily copying another. It isn't that hard. They did good on making some of their characters unique, and they don't relate to dota at all, but others are completely the same with TINY differences, and a different name.
I honestly don't think it is worth arguing about this much. We have different views and we are probably not even arguing over the same thing. Like I said to 'I just stated a thought. I am not really in the mood to argue about such a thing.' So honestly, I am not going to reply any longer, it is becoming a big waste of my time and I am pretty busy. Realize that i am not calling you in particular a big waste of my time. I have nothing against you. I will agree to disagree.
??? I don't understand what you are trying to say. I know it came from Warcraft. If you are trying to say they are filthy rich-yeah, they are. Still, I think that League needs to be more creative. Even a lot of the female characters in league look the same.
Like a said, I like playing both of the games. BUT LoL just copies thing too much.
But the thing is...who really cares when you're playing a fun game? Whether it's DotA or LoL, both are great. Leave that argument to the actual designers of the games.
I love Dota 2 and League but really they need to get creative.
